Here are pdf files of all the Lion magazines collected by the Society. These pdf files have been optically character recognised and individual copies should be searchable. It should be borne in mind that the quality of the printing and the typefaces used affect the accuracy of the ocr and the results may not be perfect.
The work of assembling the collection, scanning, carrying out the ocr and preparing for the website has been carried out by Society members over many years and many, many hours of work.
The website has been funded by Society members.
Special thanks must go to Roger Starkey for scanning most of the files, Paul Gover for ocr work and Michael Daysh for locating some of the rarest original Lions within the extensive archive of material collected by his father, Roy Daysh.
Please be aware that these magazines have not been edited and their content may, in certain cases, now be judged to be offensive by modern tastes. The Society regards them as historical documents which reflect the attitudes of their day and hopes that the reader will consider them in that context.
